Ron was nice enough to give us first tracks tickets, so even though the previous night's snow didn't materialize quite as much as Joel was hoping, we were in line for the gondola at 7:45am to ski yesterday's ~4" plus the ~2" from overnight.
Had a terrrrrrible first run of not enough new snow over bulletproof bumps under Sunshine, but then got in the trees on that face and they were fantastic and super fun. Skied a handful of laps over there with Ron, then explored a little bit on that side of the mountain with Kim & Ira. More tree laps after lunch, off Storm Peak & Bar UE and everywhere. We must have skied almost 20k of trees. You could feel the bottom, but just enough snow to be a lot of fun where it was good.
