Ski week day 1! Instructor is Stephanie, skiing with Olesya and Regina.

Notes from today: Keep my legs an equal distance apart all the time, don't bring them closer and wider as I ski. Somehow absorb at the end of the turn in the bumps with my ankles, which will stop me from "squirting" out of the turn. Maybe wash my tails a bit more to burn off speed, also. Push hips forward after every turn. Your skis are always going to get ahead of you as they move through the turn - getting forward again is something you always have to be doing.

Skied by a charismatic Taos instructor / French man who kissed Regina on the cheek and said something like "I have skis on my feet so everything is sunshine and butterflies!" Good energy.

Skied the morning, wind and lightning closed the lifts in the afternoon.
