Amazing. Bluebird day. Took the blue down from the summit and the views were so stunning we had to stop every little bit and take photos. Conditions were mostly hard packed with icy spots mixed in. My redsters were awesome, I side slipped here and there but overall it was rather painless. The ski down from the summit was a little hairy as it was windy as we made our way down, it was relatively narrow and it was pretty skied off with some ice mixed in. Fun times occurred when I for a second got in the back seat as I was sliding over some ice and bam nothing like that to get you right forward again. it's also fun when you turn and when all your weight is on your downhill leg and you hit some ice but I've learned some tools to right quick get back to position and not panic so all was fine. Besides oh those views. Then we met up with one of the ski club members who took us over to the far side where these steep blues were hidden among the blacks and it was truly the most stunning views. Mike our friend was skiing behind me one run and I'm now used to someone skiing behind me. I have a terrible confidence problem so I was self conscious but and i was pretty much keeping up with the guys so that felt good.. The Mikes got to the bottom before me and were watching me come flying down to the bottom. Michael said I definitely had some confidence going on and some speed going. Michael said I would have never gone down this trail last year and this year not only did I go down it but I did so with confidence, speed and good technique. All I know is something gelled in me after my private lesson on saturday. It was such a gorgeous day.
