Quechee Ski Hill, Vermont

Monday, January 21, 2019

Cloudy, cold, and windy. Temps between -10 and -6F, and blustery. I stayed up in Q last night in order to avoid driving home in the dark on icy/snowy roads, so I decided it was worth it to get out on the hill for an hour before going back home.

Unfortunately, the lift didn't spin for the hour I was out there (it opened around 10:30, apparently), so I just lapped T-Bar. With very few others on the hill, it really wasn't too bad. The snow was groomed, but comically soft. Couldn't really power the ski, because the snow would break away. Really needed a light touch, and to progressively move pressure from the tip to the tail.

All in all, a really nice hour of skiing. Wish it could have been a bit longer.
