Temps in the low 20s, clear, great night to wrap up night league. Course sets were pretty decent - good swing on the bottom, but the top was still a weird stepping game. Really don't like that. Surface, though, was fantastic in the track. Hard but grippy.
My first run was terrible - I missed the steps and was behind it until the middle flat. Second run though, I was good. I almost got the steps right, was just a little behind it coming into the real skiing, and I just skied well. Aggressive to the new ski, and stand on it. Probably could have been a bit straighter, but I was at least on each panel, which was nice.
That second run was the 3rd fastest run on that course, which balanced with the 13th place on the first course for a 6th-place finish. Not too shabby.
It was fun enough that I took a couple more fun runs (in a coat, I'm not insane) after that. I was actually faster in my coat on the first course by a couple tenths (and a couple tenths slower on the second course). I think the message is that I just kept skiing better.
Tonight made me really wish Ragged was hosting a GS this spring - I would do well in that.
