Quechee Ski Hill, Vermont

Overcast and COLD. Temps rising from 1 F at 8 AM to around 10 F at the end of the day. Started with setting SL with Bernard and Kim at 815. Full length. Snow was pretty fantastic. I ran it 3x, and the skiing is starting to get there. Still don't really have the faith to just throw the ski out there and expect it to come around, but it's starting to come.
Last run, I took a pretty hard fall. Straddled (dove in too early), and got my ski hooked up and in the air. Then got turned around on one ski, hit a bit of a rut, and went down on my back and hit my head pretty good on the snow. Really a hard hit. Still, everything felt okay, and I'm pretty sure it was no big deal. That said, I called it quits on SL for the day.
After lunch, I set GS on face at 24m at the top and up to 26m toward the bottom. I brought out the 30m skis to see if I could get them around. Turns out, to make it at 24m I needed to pivot the top of the turn pretty hard. At 26m, I could arc the whole turn, but I needed to be up to speed a bit to get the skis to come around.
I think overall, I can make these skis work on more open courses, but I think I prefer the 27m ones on most.
Really a fun day on the hill. It's supposed to snow a decent amount overnight, but it should be significantly warmer tomorrow. We'll try it again.
