Cold. Blustery, overcast, occasional snow squalls, high of around 15. Apparently about 6 inches fell overnight, which made running the 2GS scheduled for the day (SL start to the mid-flat) a bit tricky.
Eventually, we were able to scrape a good track, and off we went. First race, set was a bit direct on the pitch; I skied it way too round, but still ended up 4th, even after 2nd run made a pretty big mistake coming onto the finish flat.
2nd race, just bad skiing. 1st run got late and back on the skis, hockey stop at the bottom of the flat; 2nd run was going much better, but then got a little late at the bottom of the pitch and ended up going into the powder. On a "normal" day it would have been fine, could run it out, but ... not today. Still 4th overall, so not bad.
Good day. Try again next time. I can ski better than this.
