Overcast, occasional flurries. Temps in the high teens. 2 SL races.

A few inches of overnight snow meant we had to do a lot of slipping. First race, course was a bit funky, but fairly direct (almost too fast!) down the middle of the trail. First run, complete rodeo ride, and I skied very defensively, well behind Reto. Second run, I attacked better, had much better flow, and arced a lot of the pitch. Pretty big mistake at the bottom of the pitch, so I didn't really carry any speed across the bottom flat, but really much better, about 2 seconds faster relative to the leaders.

2nd race, course set was ... tricky. The pitch was tricky and then a bunch of combos to the finish. 1st run, I was skiing decently, a little defensive on the last roll, and then really sending it ... and then I straddled in the hairpin 4 gates from the finish. 2nd run, I was skiing pretty well until midway down the pitch, and then ... I just ran out of gas. A few turns well off the gate on the last bit of the pitch, and then skied okay on the flat, but just wasn't pushing it.

Must have been okay though, only ~2.5 sec off Broc, but ... I'm a better skier than that. Kind of bummed about how SL has fallen off since Jan, but ... that's okay. It started to come back. Felt athletic.
