Overcast, temps in the 20s. Really fun couple hours of skiing to start the year. Ripped around on the Enforcers, from Chet's to Ptarmigan, and then instantly went off-groom down South Chutes, which had a weird crust and very heavy wind-affected snow. No bueno. Then Ptarmigan again for a ripper down Fire Bowl, and especially through Turtle Creek, was just soft hero snow, great for big angles. Then to 6 for a ripper down Roulette, back to Ptarmigan for some fun stuff down Bennett's Bowl. Still a little bony over there, but it was good. Back to 6 for a run down Deuces Wild (not bad), and then two absolutely great runs down the pitch under Ptarmigan, where there was soft, light powder and bouncy turns aplenty.
Starting to get crowded, so called it and went back home.
