Snowing, damp, temps in the low 20s. GS day after the time change. Super flat light, pretty fast snow, very grippy, bumpy surface. Low energy. First run, I cut off line, stivoted pretty accurately on the pitch until the last two left footers, where I got really inside and slid quite a bit and lost power. Still only about a second out of 3rd, so felt pretty good with how I skied.

Second run ... just such a struggle. There was a pretty big rut on the first or second right footer on the pitch, and after that, I just backed off, stopped attacking, and started skiing from the back of the arch/heel. And that was not a winning strategy - more skidding/sliding around than I've had in a long time. Just bad. Oh well, it happens. Still eeked out a top-10 so that's nice.
