Loveland, Colorado

Mostly cloudy, with some sun peaking through in the afternoon. Temps in the low-to-mid 30s. Skied from 9ish to 3:30 on Loveland's closing day. Started the day under very dark skies with wind and some snow falling. Snow was rock hard, and visibility was tough. Skied with Mel, Kelli, Randy, and Mary (Randy's wife) for 5 runs on Ptarmigan and 6 before heading over to 8 with Randy and Mary hoping for something better. After two runs on the groomer under 8 (good once we were in the trees, marbles over hard with not visibility above) ran into Marty and Maddie. Took another couple runs on 8 before heading back. Under 4 was surprisingly good on the final pitch. Took a break from 1145-1215ish and then headed back out with Marty, Maddie, Sasha, and his friend who is an instructor at Keystone.
Snow was softer, sun started peaking through, and it was way more fun. Started on Ptarmigan, then a bunch of laps on 6, before heading down South Chutes (surprisingly excellent) to 9 for a lap down Rookie Road. Surprisingly good on the groom (off the groom, not so much). Wrapped up the day with laps down Fire Bowl and then Mambo off Chet's.
Really fun after lunch break--glad I stayed. Great way to end the Loveland season.
