Solitude, Utah

Sunny, temps rising from the mid-30s to near 50. Skied nonstop from 10 to almost 3. Met up with Al, a guy from pugski, at 10, and he gave me a tour. Started lapping Eagle, waiting for the snow to soften up and making some big arcs.

Then, finally started to explore. Solitude has a ton of cool-looking terrain, accessed through gates, that was mostly closed. Bummer, but looks super fun in the winter. Made it to the summit and through Honeycomb Canyon, which was super pretty.

Then, found a groomer off of the Sunrise chair that was just perfect snow and lapped it for a while. Al called it quits around 2 and I continued to rip groomers for another hour-ish.

Really fun day. I think I’d like it here in winter. Hope to try it sometime.
