Christmas day skiing. Again, a thanks goes out to Pat Ruvane who first took me (and my sister) skiing 37 years ago at Camelback's Annual Christmas Freeski, which I am not sure if it is still a tradition there. I hope Pat doesn't get tired of the thanks but she changed my life.
Now, on to today. Tahoe as was blessed with 5 feet of snow over the past 4 days, with another 18" expected by tomorrow evening. So today we hooked up with Steve & Daria, our favorite local ski buddies for some adventures in finding any leftover freshies. I will say, in trying to get up to the mountain, I hit a couple of snafoo's such as I didn't dry my Hestra's from my previous day and I also didn't let my goggles dry either. Two signs that there might be issues upcoming. I should have paid attention to those signs because it was one of those days that I just did not have my mojo and when you don't have your mojo, every turn is work. Today was one of those days, I did try to fight through it but it was a struggle. Thanks Josh for letting me borrow your goggles when you were done, there was no way I could have made it through the day.
