Got all the way to AM Road only to realize that I had forgotten both my helmet and goggles (note to self: leave extra set of each in the truck from now on). Fully aware that if I turned around and headed back to Truckee I wouldn't leave the house again, I decided to soldier on with a naked head and eyes; first time sans helmet in at least...shoot I can't remember when I didn't use one. Weather was windejo, which made not having helmet and goggles a bit tricky--opted for back-up glasses and Cyclops (X-Men) over-sunglasses. Knocked off 4 runs from Roundhouse; 1 the usual "Ladies Slalom" to "Gunner's Knob", the other 3 "Sympathy Face" to "Gunner's Knob". Quit when I found myself viewing the snow through watery eyes and the Sierra Sludge kept knocking me into the back seat: best to quit when you're still in one piece so's you can live to ski another day.
