Hit up Lola on the solo tip. The plan was to just bop up, bang out a run or two on the lower front (eastside) and head home. Naturally, curiosity got the better of me and I hiked all the way up to the lower ridge and did some exploring. Apres lunch I skied an incredibly mellow pitch on the northwest side (backside) that seemed to end in a thicket of trees. However, behind the pine curtain was a steep pitch, which I, of course, skied. I got skunked out by a sketchy choke and double fall-line/no-fall-zone, so I boot-packed back up. I then hiked over and hit up my initial lines, 3 chutes on the northeast lower frontside. The snow on both angles was decent early summer neo-corn (though I did kick off a super-mini wet slide in one of the chutes). Weather, whilst sunny, was rather mild, which was nice.
