Boreal, CA

Began the day hiking the proverbial "Back 40" of my backyard to snag a whopping 167 vertical feet and a few nicks and pings on the bases of my brand, spanking new Brahmas. Oh well, gotta break the new sticks in sometime (though the hike-to-turn-to-ski-to-damage ratio wasn't to my liking). One and done was all for me, but the roomie spent the rest of the day making booters, ramps, luge lanes, and more, so now the backyard is a veritable terrain park. Me, I opted to head over to Boreal for some twilight laps. Coverage is thin, as was to be expected, but they're open top-to-bottom and what was to be had was a nice mixture of chalk and packed pow dotted with meager moguls. I banged out my traditional 10 laps and called it a night.
