Mount Rose, NV

9 laps of scraper mixed with mogul side dishes and a wee stash of chalk. Met "Coney Island Rich" and Greg Burch in the parking lot. The former is 72 and skis 30+ days a year. The latter moved to Cali from Switzerland back during the Vietnam War, started out milking cows in Sonoma before he moved to Tahoe and built Rose's first chair lifts back in '65, is 73, and skis 80+ days a year. They both laughed about how it's getting harder now that their knees hurt. When I mentioned that my knees already hurt, they both looked at me and said "Son, you probably aint' gonna still be skiing when you reach our age."
