Pioneer crew in full effect. Banged out several warm-up laps on The Big Easy (they've finally put in terrain features), bumped into Stev and swapped skis for a few runs. Ripped the crap outta "The Face" and "Lower Pioneer", plus hit up "Logger's Loop" and the Progression Park a few times. High points of the day included my class asking me what a hippie was. When I replied that it was a long-haired, bearded dude all into love and peace one of the kids smiled and whispered "I also heard that they like to throw knives." Nice. Ninja Hippies for the win. Second moment was at the end of the day down by the gondola one of my kids uncovered a Pabst buried right on the side of the run. He asked me what to do with it. I took it from him and said I'd take care of it. A few minutes later some dude snowboards up and yells "Where the f@#k is my beer?!?" Of course my student tells him that I have it. Next thing the guy is up in my face talking about the "Buried Beer Code." He was liked "Do you just take any beer you see lying around?" I told him if an 11 year old could find the beer, then yes and perhaps he should reconsider where he stashes his apres beverages (i.e. not right in the middle of a major thoroughfare with tons of traffic). He then went on a rant about how he could just walk over and take my skis and would that be okay? Again, dude, you don't stash beers on a run. Anybody who has stashed beers before knows that you put them in a spot that nobody but yourself will find. My code is that if you are stupid enough to stash your beer where any kid can find it then you don't deserve to drink it!
