Middlebury Snow Bowl, Vermont

Temps in the high teens/low 20s, and dumping snow. We joined with MSC for an AM training session on Cameron under the double. For the first half, we set three short courses: (1) 6-8m quick foot on the top flat, (2) 10m rhythm section on the incredibly slick, icy pitch (sideslipping to set was a bit of a challenge), and (3) a "normal" set on the bottom flat.

After that, I set a full-length course (~55 gates), which ran pretty well. It was a really good morning of training.

In the PM, I freeskied with a couple of athletes and parents. The ungroomed all natural trails were pretty great with the new snow. I love soft snow, and it was fun to play on it even w/ the '17 SLs. I'm pretty sure I didn't even hit anything. Really fun afternoon. Freeskiing is the best. I have to find some more playful skis.
