Ski Sundown, Connecticut

Monday, January 28, 2019

Home for a day to visit the parents, so came to Sundown for the AM. Met KJ there, which was unexpected - didn't think he was doing the Sundown thing any longer. Still, with sunny skies and temps in the high teens to low 20s, it was a pretty great day to be here.

Started the day with a few laps on Canyon to get a feel of the snow and the grip from the '18 SLs. Really good grip, absolutely perfect snow. Then took a couple laps on Temptor and Stinger, which were a little difficult in the super flat light. Once the sun started peeking over the hill and the trails got some light, Gunbarrel especially was an absolute dream to ski. I was able to really rip some great turns for a couple of runs.

Wrapped up the morning with another lap of Canyon to really feel good about my skiing. Super fun 2 hours of skiing.
