Day started with it just nuking snow. About 2" fell between 9 and 1030. The light was pretty tough, so I lapped Chair 6 and Ptarmigan groomers. I was able to get some pretty good angles and response from the Enforcers. After it stopped dumping, I met up with Bobby (OMS coach) and his friend and we took a bunch of laps off the ridge, and the sun came out. Primer/Patrol Bowl, No. 4 Headwall, Jelly Roll, and Castle Rock were really fun. Areas that caught wind-blown snow were especially good. Last run, we took the Ridge Cat out and dropped in above Lift 8. Snow was fantastic. About 3-4" of soft stuff over a pretty smooth harder layer. Really just perfect creamy snow.
Then, skied all the way down to the tunnel under I-70, and I called it a day - my legs were shot, and I was getting a bit dehydrated. Really really fun day. Can't wait to do it again.
