Mix of sun and clouds. Temps in the low 20s. Skied from 830 till around 3. Really fun. Mix of cruising/skiing by myself and skiing with Marty and his daughter. Snow started pretty scratchy, did a bit of a groomer tour - really good snow in Fire Bowl and on Turtle Creek. Then made my way up to the ridge and skied Super Bowl, which was ... fine? Kind of scratchy and blocky snow. Not worth going up again in questionable light.
Then more groomers, met up with Marty and Emily, and made our way over to 8. Unfortunately, mechanical issue with 8 had me waiting at the bottom for about 20 min before making my way back.
Then a few more cruisers off Chet's and 6 and Ptarmigan before we headed back up to the ridge in a nice sunny window. This time, we did 4 or 5 laps down Jelly Roll/Castle rock, and ... it was much better. I think I'm skiing pretty well there, trying to flex more than push off, and carry it down the hill more. I think it was pretty good.
After that, a few more laps on Chet's, getting big angles on Richards and Mambo. Really fun day. Exhausted.
