Sunny, becoming cloudy. Temps rising from the high 20s to the mid 30s while I was there from 830-1200. Basically, headed from Chet's to Ptarmigan and to 9, since the ridge hadn't been open for several days and there had been significant snow since. Made four laps on the ridge, mostly on castle rock/jelly roll, where it was just fantastic. Then, met up with Marty and his brother for another few runs. Took a run down No. 4 headwall, off the cat track down to the top of 4, and another couple runs off castle rock/jelly roll.
Then wrapped up the morning with two big angle carving laps down Mambo off Chet's.
Really fun day. Perhaps the best of the year so far.
