Deer Valley, Utah

Mostly cloudy, with an hour-plus of sunshine in the middle. Temps in the mid-to-high 30s. First time here, so after a couple of long lift rides and defensive runs, I joined the "expert" mountain tour for 2.5 hours. Really glad I did--saw a good portion of the mountain, got to ski some trees and ventured off the groomers a bit too. Fun.
At the end of the tour, the groomers started to get a bit creamy and the off-piste softened a bit too. So I looked at the map, went somewhere new, and just ripped a bunch of groomers where possible.
Deer Valley seems like it would be a ton of fun to ski if there were a lot fewer people. No lift lines, really, but it seemed like the trails were pretty crowded. Not sure if it's because people were trying to stay on the groom or if it's just how the mountain skis, or what.
Still, super fun day. Really enjoyed exploring a new place. Haven't done that in a while.
