Snowbasin, Utah

Sunny, temps rising from the low 30s to the low 50s. Gorgeous day. Snowbasin seems like it'd be a ton of fun with good (winter) snow or after a storm. Big open bowls, cool groomers with terrain, and a lot of different aspects.
Started the day following the sun, since it was starting to get nice and corny (and in the shade it was pretty slick and hard). Moseyed on over to the Strawberry area, which was okay, but only serviced by a gondola, which is a bit annoying. Took a couple ventures off the groom, and it was decent, but not confidence inspiring enough to go on a real adventure.
After a while, went back to the main area, making some big arcs, trying some ungroomed stuff (much better), and seeking out the GS trails from the SLC Olympics in 2002.
Wrapped up the day with a couple laps in the third area (John Paul) chasing the downhill runs from those Olympics. Those are just bump runs, and while they skied okay, the snow was getting very heavy, and my legs were completely shot. Still, a good day, skiing until 2.
