Mix of sun and clouds, warm … temps rising from near 20 to close to 40. SL race day. As a change, they put the younger me (i.e., me) on the same course as the women and had the older men on a separate course … so we got to run earlier!

First run was pretty straightforward with some fun over the bumps near the finish. I skied solid, and found myself in 7th, which felt about right in the field. Could have charged the
pitch way more, but … pretty happy.

Second run had a bit more swing and I just didn’t have it. Was feeling a bit dehydrated at the start and got late at the 4th gate and just fought the whole way. Came onto the pitch a bit on the heels and never got forward again. The field was about a second slower in the 2nd run, but I was about 3 seconds slower. Just frustrating. Slid back into 8th, which … I would have taken if offered in the morning. Overall a good way to end the week.

My legs were cooked but I had fun.
