Sunny, temps rising from near 10 to near 30. Full length GS race. Since the clocks jumped forward last night, warming up was tough in the flat light. First run was a drag race, and I actually skied it well. Quite pleased … even though I ended up in 9th, which isn’t great … it’s not bad and there were quite a few guys who were fast and not usually on the start list. Only 2 sec out, which is a marked improvement.

2nd run had more swing and a tough delay on the knoll at the bottom of the pitch and I just sucked. Way too much respect, way too much stivot, and then I blew the delay and was relatively crawling across the pitch.

Dropped back to 14th, not awesome, but I’ll take the memories of first run.
