Cloudy and windy giving way to sunshine; temps rising from about 10F to the low 20s. Helping at the Derby. Helped set, then forerunning and course crew stuff. There was a crazy slick layer that I wasn’t expecting at all…good thing I brought the 22 SLs that were actually sharp. Unfortunately, I didn’t have them for the first run. Oops.

Overall, a good day. I skied very contained and relaxed, no attack, and pretty low energy. Even so, I would have been right in the middle of the men’s field and pretty far up the women’s… as pretty close to a floor performance, I’ll take it.
