Not bad. Decent coverage on what's open. Snow really starting to feel like spring down low, but not getting too soft up high yet. Once again, Sundance was the trail of the day.
Skied from about 1-4 and had fun! Gorgeous day. Very little open. The top didn't get that soft but there were some bumps just left of LenX that were juuuust too firm to be chalky. Sundance was the run of the day, l. o. l. Nice to get out, anyways. Hopefully can sneak in a May day.
A-Basin is still only like 50% open and a lot of what's open is really thin, but it's finally starting to feel like A-Basin. Absolutely gorgeous day. Beavers is even a little bit open; skied Glockenspiel Glades and they were probably the best snow on the mountain. Zuma still closed. Pali open but thiiiin. Stuff under the sausage hut was kind of open. Rough year, fun day. Got picked up for a ride up while walking to the bus from 3 dudes who were looking to fill their carpool quota.
First time getting back to the Outback this season. Did a bunch of laps left and right and some bump runs on North Peak. Little bit of a wintery day. Fun skiing. Finally feels like Summit has some coverage.
Another gorgeous day but A-Basin remains a little underwhelming. Only the one groomer open from the top, nothing under the sausage hut. 3 or 4 runs open down low. A little scratchy and groomer only.
Few hours at Keystone. Surprisingly decent given how little snow we've had! Top to bottom bumps on a few runs on North Peak, which was very fun, and is definitely not always the case before Christmas. Too warm, but a gorgeous day. Played with Carv for the first time.
Lovely day. Sunnier than expected, so also heavier snow than expected. Caught the rope drop on the East Wall and the lower East Wall was CARNAGE. Fun but very heavy, only did one lap. Low mojo day, ended up just taking it easy and doing a bunch of West Wall -> North Gully stuff after exploring a little on Lenawee, Beavers, and Pali.
Nice powder afternoon with dbostedo. The universe punished me for not taking the bus by making me step in a literal knee-deep puddle at the end of the cat track down from the Last Chance lot, so now I own another pair of ski socks.
