Hit up the sweet, unnamed chute just below Kinney Lake with Stev today. We topped out around 10:30ish, give or take, and the snow was already heavy like butter that has sat out in 70 degree weather combined with slushiness akin to a Slurpee. The top part of the chute was decent enough thanks to the pitch, but the lower bits were a bit tricky 'n sticky. We bailed on hitting the chutes above the lake, ate lunch, and called it a day instead. As with yesterday atop Mt. Rose summit, these lines needed to be hit at least 2 hours earlier. Damn you summer weather!
