Road tripped north with Stev, Mark, and Mike. Left before 10 am on Friday the 8th and pushed through to Gov't Camp with stops in Merrill and Bend (they sell kombuch on tap at the Food4Less!). Sat b-fast included huckleberry pancakes at the Huckleberry Inn (i ordered a full stack plus a side of hashbrowns and one of the locals at the counter began laughing, "He ordered a full stack? He'll never eat it." I succumbed to local peer pressure and downsized to a half-stack (in retro I coulda eaten a full stack, they weren't that big). We were on the hill somewhere after 8 and it was slick. Cherry picked my way down several runs before we decided to hike up the snowfield and glacier above the resort. Scored some sweet corn and open runs. Called it early due to swollen shins and capped the day with some cold ones in the Timberline Lodge.
