Rise and shine private (1 hour early morning) with a British expat rockin' brand new, out the box Nordica skis and Tecnica boots. Spent the hour working on weight transfer, pole position, and thinking about upper/lower body separation. Conditions were a bit wet and tacky due to the overnight snowfall and slight drizzle, but up near the summit it was pretty damn bueno (and rather nice to be schussing on some of Mom Nature's natural stuff as opposed to pure man-made). Next up was a 3-hour with a 9 y/o (Alex). He hadn't skied since the previous season, so we worked on turn shape and speed control on The Big Easy, then moved to Arrow for a few runs. Wet and drizzly and slightly windy were the conditions, so we took ample warming breaks, as well.
