Morning assignment with three brothers: Santino (4), Rocco (6), Enzo (9). Never-evers. The 4 and 9 y/o clicked with me; the 6er, though, exclaimed in no mild manner and repeatedly, "I Hate You!". Got them all gliding down the magic carpet area by lunch. Dropped them off to mom and dad who weren't surprised that the 6er hadn't cottoned to me (learned that his family nickname is "Light Switch", cuz he's either on or off). Got back to the locker room to find out that they had re-upped me for the afternoon. Ended up skiing just with Enzo (the 6 y/o still hated me and the 4 y/o was tired and wanted to go swimming). Me'n Enzo (if I add "down by the Ski School" it's like a Paul Simon tune retrofitted, no?) made it up the chairlift with him making turns and beginning to comprehend speed control. They re-upped me for Monday, too. Interesting and rewarding day, even if 1/3 of the crew "hated" me.
