Day

spring conditions. This winter is fired.
Day
24
Mount Snow, VT: Friday, February 28, 2020
shitty conditions, despite official report of "packed powder". Filed official complaint with resort over lies in snow report as a safety issue. The *best* surface available was frozen cord. Lots of people out on rental gear, too.
Day
23
Mount Snow, VT: Sunday, February 23, 2020
spring conditions. Finally got the boots dialed in properly, and promptly overpowered my skis and had a yard sale as a result.
Day
22
Mount Snow, VT: Friday, February 21, 2020
yesterday's packed powder is today's machine-groomed frozen gran. And hordes of people for SVW.
Day
21
Mount Snow, VT: Thursday, February 20, 2020
perfect conditions - packed powder, bluebird skies, perfect temps. Adjusted the forward lean of the new boots to max forward, then backed off of that because it was putting a lot of pressure on my knees.
Day
20
Jiminy Peak, MA: Wednesday, February 12, 2020
super flat light and variable conditions
Day
18
Mount Snow, VT: Sunday, February 2, 2020
first day out on the new Apex boots. Had to come in early again because I forgot to transfer the heel lifts over from the old Nordicas, but otherwise, this is a fantastic boot!
Day
17
Mount Snow, VT: Friday, January 31, 2020
feet swelled up due to Snow Barn pizza the night before, and I was forced off the mountain by nerve pain in my foot. That's it. I'm jumping ship to an Apex boot.
Day

surprisingly crowded, but great conditions early
Day
9

first tracks on the RTM 84s. Remembered immediately why these are my favorite skis.
Day

50 minutes, 5 perfect runs, and back to the inn by breakfast
Day
7
Mount Snow, VT: Monday, December 23, 2019
jeff demo day. Spring conditions. Finally feel like my feet are back under me for the season!
Day
6
Mount Snow, VT: Friday, December 20, 2019
frickin COLD. Knee is fine, but still wearing out early. Skied 1.25 hours, though, which is good. Started thinking fondly of my RTM 84s, also a good sign
Day
5
Mount Snow, VT: Wednesday, December 18, 2019
still rehabbing the knee, but skied 5 runs off the 'Weed lift, going down the long way, and so spent 30 minutes ON snow.
Day
4
Mount Snow, VT: Monday, December 16, 2019
First time returning to skis after a minor MCL sprain from slipping on black ice. 20 minutes on the bunny hill, and quitting early out of pure caution. No problems with skiing or the lift.
