Sunny, temps rising from the single digits to near 30. Just the AM today before heading back to Banff.
Lake Louise is spectacular. Views everywhere.
Started with a scratchy groomer frontside before heading up to the summit and skiing one of the alphabet gullies. I think B? Anyway, pretty soft snow there, good turns. Then headed up Paradise chair, down 4/5 shoulder, and into a newly opened zone (Lower 5 maybe?). Suuuper heavy, but really deep snow. Got a little cliffed out but picked my way around. Good fun.
Then a run through Rock Garden, which was a fun landscape but not great skiing, followed by a ripping groomer.
Ended the day with a long relaxed ski down to the base.
Really fun, wish I could have stayed longer.
