About 1:30 of freeski in the AM before heading back home to hang with the parents. Gorgeous day, sunny, temps warming from the low 20s to high 20s when I left around 11:15, I'm sure it would have been awesome into the afternoon. Back on the Enforcers, which have been repaired.
Snow was ... okay. The groom was a bit scratchy but softening, and the off-piste was super icy and uneven underneath a few inches of fresh or blown snow. Started up Chet's and over to Ptarmigan, down south chutes, which were a bit sketchy and rattly, and up 9.
Took a run off 9 down jellyroll/castle rock, and ... it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. Still, I got fresh tracks and looking up at them, it looked pretty good, but not super worth doing it again. Spent the rest of the morning ripping around groomers, including two runs down Bennett's Bowl, a couple runs on Deuces Wild, and one down Roulette.
Snow in general just a little hard and scratchy for the edges on the Enforcers ... in some sections it was sweet, and in others I wasn't 100% confident in the edge.
Still, really really fun morning. Let's try again tomorrow.
